New Delhi: A Supreme Court lawyer has filed a complaint with Goa Police against Nadav Lapid, head of the IFFI Jury, for insulting the sacrifice of the Hindu community in Kashmir. Nadav Lapid had called the movie The Kashmir Files, ‘vulgar’ and ‘propaganda’.
The top court lawyer, in his complaint alleged that by commenting in a derogatory manner, Nadav Lapid had insulted the sacrifice of Hindus in Kashmir. The complaint demands to register case under Sections 121, 153, 153 A, 153 B, 295, 298 and 505 of Indian Penal Code. Adv. Jindal has explained in the complaint that ‘The Kashmir Files’ is made based on the real incidents.
‘The Kashmir Files’ depicts the real life experience of Kashmiri Pandits, who faced exodus and killings by the Islamic terrorists in 1990s. By stating the movie ‘vulgar’ and ‘propaganda’ , Israel Jury has insulted the sacrifice of the Hindus. Nadav Lapid, by his statement, targeted to create disharmony between groups. His statement hurts the Hindu religious sentiments, the complainant Adv. Vineet Jindal explained.
