Raipur: A Malayali Jawan martyred in an attack by communist terrorists. The terrorist attack took place in the forest area of Chhattisgarh yesterday around 4.30 pm. Sulaiman, an officer of Cobra, a jungle warfare unit of the CRPF, died in the incident, police said.
Sulaiman is a native of Palakkad. The body will be brought to Kerala tomorrow. He was an officer of the 202nd Cobra battalion. After the attack, Sulaiman was seriously injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital. He breath his last while undergoing treatment.
Communist terrorists opened fire on the camp of Cobra officials. The camp was located 450 km from the capital city of Raipur under Chinta Gufa police station. After the attack, the terrorists fled to the nearby forest area. IG Sundarraj P responded to the media that the security personnel have intensified the search inside the forest.
