Avatar 2 will be released in Kerala. This is after resolving the dispute between the theater owners and the distributors regarding the screening of the Hollywood film Avatar 2.
The theater owners’ association, FEUOK, and the distributors made an agreement in this regard. The agreement is that distributors will share 55 percent of the theatrical revenue in the first two weeks and theater owners will share 45 percent. With this, the film will be released in Kerala on December 16.
Earlier, the distributors had taken a stand that they wanted a 60 percent share. With this, FEUOK took a stand that the film will not be screened. The film, made at a production cost of Rs 1832 crore, will be released in India in 6 languages.
