New Delhi: China should not interfere in the matter between the US and India, says the United States. The US position came after China opposed the joint military exercise in Uttarakhand. Elizabeth Jones, a senior US diplomat, said that China does not need to interfere in its case.
The US will fully support India’s efforts to address regional challenges. India had also rejected China’s objection to the India-US joint military exercise taking place near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) along the border. The country has clarified that India will work with any country and will not give a chance to a third country to interfere in this.
External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said these military exercises had nothing to do with the 1993 and 1996 agreements with China. This agreement is related to the maintenance of peace along the Line of Actual Control and adjacent areas. But India has stated that it has not been violated.
