New Delhi: Electronic visa (e-Visa) facility for UK nationals traveling to India has been re-launched. The facility which was stopped due to Corona is being restored again.
Indian High Commissioner of UK Vikram Doraiswamy said the service will be available soon. Officials at the High Commission in London have confirmed that travelers will be able to apply for e-visas to India from this week.
It is informed that the system upgrade process is underway and the Indian Visa website will soon be ready to accept e-Visa applications. High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswamy added that the restoration of the e-Visa will enable friends from the UK to travel to India more easily.
A discussion was held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak during the G20 summit held in Indonesia last month. The two also discussed the issue of e-visa.
