New Delhi: The World Bank says the Indian economy is growing rapidly. World Bank Economist Dhruv Sharma said that the Indian economy is better than it was ten years ago. He said that compared to other emerging markets, the Indian economy has not seen a downturn and the Indian rupee has only lost 10 percent this year.
The main reason for the decline in the economy is the corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine. But Dhruv Sharma stated that India has been able to overcome such crises. The Indian economy has improved much faster than other countries. He said that the increase in global commodity prices and monetary policies are the factors that have affected the country.
The Indian Director of the World Bank stated that the central government is doing many things to stimulate the economy. He also said that the Indian economy will grow by 6.9 percent in the financial year 2022-23.
