Gandhinagar: Trinamool’s national spokesperson Saket Gokhale arrested for allegedly spreading fake news over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Morbi bridge.
Gokhale was detained from Jaipur, Rajasthan by Ahmedabad cyber crime cell officers. Case has been imposed on Gokhale under sections 465,469 and 471 of Indian Penal Code. FIR has been lodged for spreading false news on the PM’s visit to Morbi bridge.
Gokhale took the twitter to share the fake news as Rs. 30 crore was spent for Modi’s visit to Morbi, after the bridge collapse incident, as per the RTI. Following the tweet, an investigation was held in which it was clear that such RTI was not not issued and wrong message was spread in this regard.
