New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party wins Delhi MCD elections. Aam Aadmi Party won 134 seats out of 250. They won 42.2 percent of the votes.
BJP marked a strong victory in 103 seats. BJP managed to beat all the exit poll results and get 39 percent votes. Political observers are evaluating this as an indication that there was no anti-ruling sentiment in Delhi.
The Delhi MCD elections ensured a complete downfall of the Congress. The party has dropped from 30 seats to 9 seats, from 21 percent vote share to 12 percent.
CPM and CPI showed a pathetic performance in the Delhi elections. In all the seats contested, both the parties got only 0.01 percent votes. Independents got 3.42 percent votes and Nota got 0.79 percent votes.
