Ahmadabad: Congress leader Raghu Sharma has resigned from the party leadership after knowing the pathetic result in the Gujarat election 2022. He took up the responsibility of the failure and stepped down from his position. In Gujarat, the Congress has shrunken to 17 seats from 77.
Raghu Sharma resigned after the complete election results came out. He clarified that he handed over the resignation letter to Mallikarjun Kharge, the national president of Congress.
He wrote in the letter that he is taking all the responsibility for the failure of the party in Gujarat election and resigning from the position assigned by the party.
When the ruling party confirmed victory in 152 seats out of 182, the congress got a lead in only 16 seats. Among this, Congress has won in 3 places. And it is bad luck that the Congress does not even know the reason for their downfall when they are shrinking from 77 to 16. AAP has also marked their entry by taking up 5 seats that belonged to Congress last time.
