New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to the results of the assembly elections in the states of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. The Prime Minister said that he is thankful to all the people of Gujarat and Himachal who supported the BJP.

Modi also wrote on Twitter that he respects the decision of the people in Gujarat. Each of you are champions. BJP could never have achieved this historic victory without your hard work. You are the real strength of our party, tweeted the PM.
Thanks to the people who supported and loved the BJP in Himachal Pradesh. The Prime Minister also said that the BJP will continue to work to fulfil the aspirations of the state and raise the issues of the people.
According to the latest reports released by the Election Commission, BJP has won 153 seats in Gujarat. The results indicate that the BJP, which continues to lead in 3 more seats, will win a total of 156 seats. The Congress, which suffered a heavy defeat, managed to win 16 seats so far and has a lead in one more constituency. It is estimated that the Congress may get a maximum of 17 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party has opened its account in the state by winning five seats. SP has managed to win one seat and independents in three seats.
Meanwhile, Congress has won 40 seats in Himachal Pradesh. BJP has won 25 seats. All three independents won in the state. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party could not win even a single seat in Himachal. CPM also lost its only seat in the state.
