Doha: Croatia beat Brazil on penalties to qualify for the semi-finals of FIFA World Cup 2022. In the first quarter-final, Croatia defeated Brazil in a penalty shoot-out and reached the semi-finals. Croatia won with a score of 4-2.
Brazil took the lead through Neymar in the first half of extra time. But second-half Bruno Petkovic hit back Croatia with seconds remaining in the match.
Nikolo Vlasic, Luka Modric, Lovro Majer and Mislav Orsic shook the net in the shootout. Only Casemiro and Pedro found the target for Brazil. Rodrigo, who took the first kick, and Marquinhos, who took the fourth kick, missed the target. This is Croatia’s second consecutive World Cup semi-final. Croatia is the first team to enter the semi-finals of this World Cup.
