Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said that he has friendly relations with many Congress leaders. They approach him for advice. He said this while giving an interview to the national media, India Today.
“I have worked in Congress for 22 years. The relationship with them will not end overnight. Even today I am on friendly terms with Congress leaders. Many people I brought into politics ask me advice even today,” he said.
Sharma also said that the opposition wants to create a problem in Parliament regarding the clash between India and China in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector. Never discuss such matters in public. Because Chinese spies will notice all this and plan new strategies. Therefore, matters affecting national security should be kept confidential, said Sharma.
He warned that the Central Government would always stand with the army in such matters and it would be better for the opposition to end the talks.
