Pathanamthitta: In view of the increasing number of Sabarimala pilgrims, a review meeting of ministers will be held today. The meeting will be held in Pampa under the chairmanship of Radhakrishnan. Ministers M.B. Rajesh, A.K. Sasheendran will also attend the meeting.

A discussion will be held regarding the continuous traffic block in Sabarimala road. It is reported that the lack of infrastructure in Nilakkal and Pampa will also be a topic of discussion. Activities of 32 local bodies related to Sabarimala and waste management in Pampa will be discussed in the review meeting. State Police Chief Anilkanth will also visit Sabarimala today. He will be reached at Sannidhanam after attending the review meeting in Pampa. The DGP will assess the police arrangements.

Even after a month of the Sabarimala pilgrimage, the government is dragging the pilgrims without making adequate arrangements. Disputes with contractors, including the vehicle parking space at the base camp, still prevails. There is a strong allegation that the failure in coordination between various departments is the major reason behind this.
