Thiruvananthapuram: Strong protests continue in Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Council against Mayor Arya Rajendran in the letter controversy. BJP’s women councilors protested together. They were forcibly removed by the police. Mayor Arya Rajendran has instructed the police to arrest and remove the protesters.
The BJP staged a protest from the mayor’s residence. The mayor reached Dias after crossing the women councilors of the BJP who were protesting on the ground. Then the mayor ordered the suspension of eight BJP councilors who protested.
UDF councilors also protested inside the municipality. The opposition continued its strong protest inside the municipal council hall. The protest is being held on the demand that the mayor should resign over the appointment controversy.
