Thamarassery: KCBC has decided to intensify the strike against the state government on the buffer zone issue. The leadership of the Catholic Church says that they are deeply concerned about the stance taken by the government. A strike will be held on the following day under the leadership of Thamarassery Diocese. The Bishop of Thamarassery will inaugurate the strike.
The government says that it will resolve the concern in the buffer zone by carrying out site inspections in the panchayats that are in the sensitive zone. But the leadership of the church has expressed dissatisfaction with the satellite survey report. That is why it has been decided to start a public strike in the coming days. At the same time, the time limit for submitting complaints to the expert committee about the satellite survey will also be extended.
