Accused in the woman’s murder case hanged himself while on remand

Thiruvananthapuram: The accused in the case of killing a woman in Vazhayila has committed suicide in Pujapura District Jail. Police informed that accused Rajesh committed suicide.

Sindhu, a housewife, was hacked to death by Rajesh in broad daylight last week. The arrested accused committed suicide while on remand. He hanged himself in the washroom of the jail around two o’clock in the morning today. Accused committed suicide by using the cloth he was wearing.

After noticing the incident, Rajesh was taken to Thiruvananthapuram General Hospital. But the hospital authorities confirmed the death. Currently, the body is kept at the General Hospital.
Last Thursday, Sindhu was killed by Rajesh. It is said that both Sindhu and Rajesh were living together for 12 years. But recently Sindhu started avoiding Rajesh and this provoked him.
