New Delhi: ‘News Headlines’, a You Tube channel that has been frequently pouring out fake news, pulled up by PIB. Press Information Bureau Fact inspection wing has identified ‘ News Headlines’ as the source of spreading fabricated news on Prime Minister, Supreme Court Chief Justice, Election Commissioner and Union Ministers. PIB has issued warning to the public against the You Tube channel.
“A #YouTube channel ‘News Headlines’ with almost 10 lakh subscribers and 32 crore views has been found to be propagating #FakeNews about the Prime Minister, Supreme Court of India, Chief Justice of India, and the Election Commission of India,” tweeted the PIB Fact check.
The Channel released fake news like “Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has quit BJP and joined in Congress”, “election will be conducted on ballot paper following the orders of CJI”, ” re-election will be held for 131 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly”.
