Kochi : 5G service has started in Kerala last day. In the first phase, 5G service will be available in Kochi city and Guruvayur temple area. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Reliance Jio True 5G service in Kerala.
The Chief Minister said that 5G will help bring about a big transformation in various sectors of the state. The Chief Minister also said that 5G will be able to fuel the growth of various sectors starting from industrial, educational, health sectors, IT-based industries, business enterprises and start-ups.
KC Narendran, the head of Reliance Jio Kerala Business, informed that 5G service will be provided completely free in the first phase. He said that Jio SIM mobile numbers with 5G can be started by clicking on the link in the message received. Reliance Jio informs that it will start its service in Thiruvananthapuram in December itself. 5G will reach the cities of Kozhikode, Thrissur and Malappuram by January. Jio has announced that by the end of 2023, 5G will be available in all areas over Kerala.
