New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that India is more vigilant than ever on the border and China should not think that it can cross the border alone. As a reply to Rahul, Jaishankar said that the Indian soldiers reached there for a purpose and should not forget that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is there with the soldiers. The foreign minister answered questions from the audience at a program organized by the Japan Foundation.
India has deployed more troops on its borders than ever before. The Indian Army is more powerful and equipped now. Jaishankar, supporting the strong counter-attack in Tawang, said that China must realize that India also has the capacity to take a decision.
Jaishankar severely criticized Rahul’s statement that India had gone backwards and the soldiers were cowards. The audience applauded his reply in which he said that this is the army advancing under the leadership of Narendra Modi. Jaishankar said Rahul should not forget that India has a strong Prime Minister to protect them.
On 9th this month, China’s incursion into Indian territory took place at the Tawang border in Arunachal Pradesh. But the video footage of the army beating the Chinese soldiers went viral. When the people praised the Indian army, Rahul insulted the soldiers by saying that the Indian soldiers retreated after being hit by the Chinese army.
