Kozhikode: A nine-year-old girl who was being treated for severe vomiting died. The deceased was Khyati Singh, daughter of Jain Singh, a native of Telangana, an employee of Kunnamangalam NIT.
The police registered a case of unnatural death. The case was registered following the complaint of the parents that the food consumed by the child was contaminated with poison.
On the 17th, the child and parents had eaten mandi rice from a fast food shop in Kattangal. The parents said the child started vomiting after that. The child was taken to a private hospital in Mukkam and then to a private hospital in the city after vomiting. The doctors had suspected that there were signs that the poison had reached the child’s body.
