Amritsar: The Army has beefed up border security amid severe winter in northern India. A video of BSF jawans patrolling the Wagah-Attari border with Pakistan in thick fog is viral in social media.
The BSF soldiers, including women soldiers, proudly describe that they are performing their duty with dedication even in this heavy snow. ‘Our mission is to guard the border in winter, rain and heat’. The women soldiers enthusiastically responded that they can enjoy all the challenges in this work that is being done for the security of crores of Indians.
Security and patrolling are beefed up in view of the possibility of terrorists concentrating on the border during winter to activate infiltration and drug smuggling. The BSF jawans are strengthening the border guarding in such fog that they cannot even see each other. Soldiers informed that the snow is so heavy that nothing can be seen beyond 10 meters.
