Kasargod: The case of missing couple and their children from abroad will be handed over to the NIA. The investigation is being left to the central agency following indications that the family has joined the terrorist organization, Islamic State. Muhammad Shabeer, a native of Udinur, and his wife Rizwana and their four children have gone missing from Dubai.

It is confirmed that they went to Yemen for religious studies. Indians are currently banned from travelling to Yemen. In this case, how they reached Yemen is a mystery and the investigation of the case is handed over to the NIA. Apart from this, the NIA will also investigate who they came in contact with after reaching Yemen and what was their real intention.

Apart from the family, two youths from Padanna have also arrived in Yemen. The NIA will investigate about them too. After receiving information on their absconding to Yemen for religious studies, their relatives had lodged a complaint with the police. Based on this, the police started an investigation and later it was handed over to the NIA.
