New Delhi: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will review the situation in the high-level meeting today BF.7, the new variant of Covid had been confirmed in India. Two cases were reported from Gujarat and Odisha. Today’s meeting aims to provide directions to intensify the precautionary measures too. The prevailing situation of the country will be discussed and also, emphasis on the samples tests as well as vaccination will be the topics in the meeting.
Suggestions will be provided to the States. Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Delhi had already called for review meetings. Meanwhile, the patients who were infected with the variants of BF .7, BF.12 in the country are under treatment and as per reports, their health condition is improving.
The Centre had recently suggested that though wearing mask is not mandatory, all should wear mask in crowded areas and keep social distancing. Protocol regarding this is not yet released. The passengers coming from foreign countries to India, should undergo sample test in the airports.
