New Delhi: India has reviewed the background of the global spread of Coronavirus. In the virtual meeting, the PM presided over the high-level meeting held in Delhi this evening. In that meeting the PM inquired about the global environment so far, China’s situation and expansion in India.
The BF.7 Omicron variant is now spreading in the world. It is reported that only 4 people have been infected with this virus in India for the last six months. Currently, apart from China, more people have been affected by the virus in Japan, South Korea, France and the United States.
Other measures may consider the urgent nature of inspection reports of those arriving from abroad. The central government also informed that since severe winter has started in the states of North India, measures to prevent respiratory diseases have also been intensified.
Narendra Modi also made a preliminary assessment regarding the spread of Corona, the strength of the new variant, the genetic variation that has occurred in India, the preparedness of hospitals and states, and the availability of emergency systems including oxygen. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and NITI Aayog Chief Officer Parameswaran Iyer were also present in the meeting.
Last day, the Union Ministry of Health collected all the information about the global spread of Corona. After that, the Health Department of all the states interacted with the Ministers and Health Secretaries. People across the country were told to take full doses of the vaccine and adopt primary prevention methods including masks.
