Lucknow: The Yogi government extended a helping hand to the media workers who died due to corona in Uttar Pradesh. Financial assistance was given to families. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath handed over the financial assistance yesterday, on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In the last one and a half years, 103 media workers have lost their lives due to Corona in the state. The government handed over financial assistance to the families of 53 people in July last year. The amount was handed over to the remaining 50 families yesterday. The government has given Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the media workers. Yogi Adityanath stated that 5.30 crore rupees have been allocated for this purpose.
The efforts of the media workers to bring the news about the spread of Corona to the public are commendable. 103 media workers lost their lives in the state due to infection while reporting the news on the spread of Coronavirus. This is an emotional moment. The government has always stood with the families of the media workers. Yogi Adityanath added that now the financial assistance announced by the government has been distributed.
Widows of media workers will also benefit from schemes like Chief Minister Bala Seva Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Care Yojana. The authorities should ensure this. Government and media workers are working together for the goodness of the country. He also stated that the government is implementing various schemes for the media workers.
