Palakkad: The NIA has speeded up the investigation in the case of the murder of the RSS leader Srinivas Krishna by the workers of Popular Front of India (PFI). An application was made to take over the case records from the lower court. The Srinivas murder case investigation was handed over to NIA on 20th of this month.
The NIA applied to the High Court registrar seeking the release of the documents from the lower court. A letter will be sent to the DGP immediately asking the case diary. NIA’s move is to start investigation as soon as the information is received.
It is found that the murder of Srinivas has a terrorist connection. Based on this, the Union Home Ministry issued an order handing over the case to the NIA. Currently, the police team is investigating the case. The police will also hand over the details to the NIA team.
In the investigation, it became clear that the murder of Srinivas has some connection with the banned religious terrorist organization PFI. Popular Front leaders CA Rauf and Yahya Thangal were involved in the planning of the murder. Currently, both of them have been arrested in the case of anti-national activities and are still in jail.
