NIA raids houses of PFI leaders in state; Inspection at 56 centres

Thiruvananthapuram: NIA raids on houses of PFI leaders and activists across the state. NIA raids are being conducted simultaneously in 56 places. Inspections are carried out at the homes of second- tier leaders and trainers. NIA officials from Delhi have also arrived in Kerala.

The examination is being conducted in various districts. Inspection is being conducted in 12 places in Ernakulam Rural only. In Alappuzha, the raids are conducted at Aroor, Edathua, Punnapra, Veeyapuram and Kayamkulam. The house of PFI former district president Nawaz Vandanam is also being raided.

Raids are going on in Pathanamthitta and Muvattupuzha and also in the house of PFI State Secretary Nisar, the house of Zonal Secretary Muhammad Rashid and the house of M K Ashraf who was a member of the State Committee. The inspection started here at two o’clock in the morning.

The inspection is also going on at Karunagapally and Ochira in Kollam district, Manjeri, Kottakkal and Valanchery in Malappuram district and Mavur and Nadapuram in Kozhikode district. The team is also conducting inspections in Palakkad district.
