Kozhikode: Culprit identified in the case of molesting a 15-year-old boy who returned from a disaster mitigation mock drill in the district. The accused is Unnikrishnan, a CPM leader and ward member of Mavoor panchayat. The complaint is that he sexually assaulted the boy in the ambulance and in the car. Unnikrishnan sexually assaulted the boy after a mock drill conducted by the district administration on a taluk basis. A case has been filed by the Mavur police POCSO department in the incident.
The incident took place in the afternoon last day. The complaint is that the driver of the ambulance that was brought for the Mock drill, sexually assaulted him in the vehicle and then in his own car.
A state-wide disaster mitigation mock drill was organized in all four taluks and district levels under the leadership of the National Disaster Management Authority and the state government. The mock drill was held at Mavoor panchayat in Kozhikode. It is reported that the 15-year-old was sexually assaulted while returning from this event.
