Kerala got a good start in the match where the openers fought hard. With Ponnan Rahul and Rohan Kunnummal shining with 40 runs, Kerala laid a good foundation by scoring 86 runs for the first wicket.
Sachin Baby, who came after Rohan, fell for 1 run and Akshay Chandran for 10 runs, but Rahul stood firm at one end and gave the team an authentic victory. Jalaj Saxena was there at the crease to celebrate the victory with Rahul.
