Delhi: Anjali Singh, a native of Vihar, who was killed after being dragged by a car, was drunk, as reported by her friend Nidhi. Even though she was drunk, she was forced to travel on a scooter. Nidhi also said that the driver knew that Anjali was trapped under the car after being hit by the vehicle. Anjali and Nidhi went to a party to celebrate New Year. CCTV footage of both of them going on a scooter was also released. Based on this, the police called Nidhi for interrogation.
Anjali was dragged by the car for a distance of 12 km.” I fell to the other side as the car hit our scooter. Anjali was stuck in front of the car. Knowing she was trapped under the car, the people inside the car deliberately pulled over. The car was being pulled forward and backward. She screamed but they ignored it. With this I panicked and went home scared and I was not able to say anything to anyone. I cried a lot,” Nidhi told the media.
But the people in the car said that they did not know that the woman was trapped under the car. Everyone in the vehicle was drunk. The girl’s screaming was not audible as they were playing the music loudly inside the car. The driver saw the woman’s hand while taking a U-turn. While noticing this, they stopped the car and left the dead body there. The police arrested all the five people who were in the vehicle.
