Imphal: Amit Shah has started his three day Manipur visit. He initiated twenty one schemes worth Rs 1,131 crore for the holistic development of Manipur. He was received by Chief Minister N Biren Singh and other state ministers. Along with inaugurating various projects, he inaugurated the 122-feet High Sagol Kangjei statue at Heigang in Imphal East district.
Amit Shah also inaugurated Churachandpur Medical College, the first medical college in Churachandpur. He inaugurated the heritage site of the Indian National Army at the historic Moirang, 45 km from Imphal in Bishnupur. Chief Minister Biren Singh and Health Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh were present at the inauguration along with Amit Shah. After his visit to Churachandpur, he hoisted the Indian flag at the army headquarters in Moirang.
After the public meeting in Moirang, Amit Shah will go to Dimapur in Nagaland. Public Works Minister Govindas Konthaujam said that the Union Home Minister is keen to find time and take steps to bring Manipur on the path of development.
