New Delhi: G20 Chief Coordinator Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that India has assumed the G20 presidency at a critical time when the world is facing challenges. Even countries that are not members of the G20 are looking at India’s presidency with great hopes. In an interview to the national media, he said that there is good faith among the countries that India can propose the best solution when the world nations are going through political, economical and security based uncertainties.
On December 1, 2022, India got into the presidential position of the G20. The G20 is an association that includes 80 percent of the world’s GDP, 75 percent of international trade and 60 percent of the world’s population. India will also host the mega summit in September. The chief coordinator added that India will preside over 200 meetings organized at 57 different venues.
