Kochi :It is reported that the arrested PFI leader Muhammad Mubarak had involved in the Hathras riot conspiracy. Mubarak’s name has been mentioned in the confessional statement of a  PFI worker who was arrested in the Hathras riot case. NIA said to have decided to take him back into custody.

Mubarak, a weapons’ trainer, was arrested following a state-wide search at the houses of the second-level PFI leaders. Mubarak, the head of the PFI’s Hita Squad group, had given weapon training to the murder team. After the end of the period of the five-day NIA custody, Mubarak was produced in a special NIA court in Kochi lastday. The NIA had informed the court that he had not fully cooperated with the interrogation. The NIA has decided to take him back into custody after getting the results of the digital evidence.

Mubarak, who knew martial arts, was regularly given weapon training sessions. He was a Kung Fu practitioner. The NIA team found that physical education training nurses were tasked to conduct the missions as given in the hit lists prepared by the area-divisional reporters. Axes and swords hidden inside badminton rackets were seized in a raid at Mubarak’s home in Edavanakkad. Mubarak was taken into custody to collect information about the weapons training.
