New Delhi: A seven-month pregnant woman was set on fire by her husband and in-laws. The woman, who is suffering from severe burns, has been admitted at the hospital. The incident took place at Bhawana in Delhi.
The Chairperson of Delhi Women Commission, Swati Maliwal informed that a notice has been sent to the police on the incident. Swati Maliwal said that the victim has been assured help.
For the past few days, violence has been taking place on a large scale in the national capital especially the violence against women is high. The incident of Shraddha Walker being killed by her partner and her body being cut into pieces and kept in the fridge has come out a few days ago. It is estimated that in the year 2022, violence against women has increased by 16.9 percent in Delhi.
