New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir today. The emergency visit is in the background of the Rajouri terror attack. He will visit the houses of those who were killed by the terrorists.
In order to assess the security of the valley, a meeting of officials has also been called under the leadership of Amit Shah. Senior officers of various forces and security agencies will attend the meeting. Following the home minister’s visit, the security has been beefed up in Rajouri district. Traffic control was also imposed in Dhankri area.
After the Rajouri twin terror attacks, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has increased the security measures. A project to provide weapons training to village defence guards led by villagers has accelerated. The anti-terrorist defence force of the villagers is under the supervision of the Senior Superintendent of the Police.
