New Delhi: Today, the Election Commission will begin the procedures to ensure that every citizen can cast their votes from anywhere in the country. The procedures are ahead of implementing the concept of ‘One India, One Election’. Migrant workers will also get the benefits of the scheme. The target is a substantial increase in the voting percentage.
The Election Commission’s aim is to deal with those who are unable to vote in their own constituencies, with the help of technology. The Election Commission will introduce a voting machine in which votes can be cast in the elections held in various states of India.
Technically, the commission has successfully completed the procedures for the voting machine. After explaining the draft plan to the recognized political parties, the commission will complete other related steps. The aim of the commission is to use such voting machines from the coming Lok Sabha elections.
