Delhi: A five-member team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will reach London to investigate the pro-Khalistan protests during which the national flag at the Indian High Commission was destroyed in March this year. It is reported that the NIA team has left for London on Monday.
The NIA has the list of people with Khalistani links. As per reports, they are likely to handover these details to the British officials and the security agencies in London.
The case was handed over to the NIA by the Counter Terrorism and Counter Radicalisation (CTCR) division of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on April 18.
The pro-Khalistan protesters destroyed the national flag in front of the Indian High Commission in London on March 19. They also circulated videos of the incident and demanded the release of radical Sikh preacher and Khalistan sympathizer Amritpal Singh.
