Trivandrum: 21,537 government workers are going to retire this year from that, 11,801 people is retiring from their service today. The most retirement will be in Health, Education and revenue departments.
The mass retirement of the government employees will happen today because, there was a custom of recording the Date of Birth in the month of May in anticipating of school admission in the state .There are people in several post in the various departments who haven’t received their salary yet and the government has to find about 1500 crore rupees to pay them all. But the state financial department has informed that there will be no hindrance in providing benefits to them and there will be no situation of withholding the amount.
Meantime, Including 3 DGPs, Sandya from Fire force, R AnnandaKrishnan from Excise Commission, SPG Director Kerala Cadre DGP Arun Kumar Sinha will retire from their service today. The Kerala Police will organize a farewell parade for the DGPs at SAP Parade ground.
