Palakkad division gives the green signal for wedding photo shoot

There is no need to do photo shoots on trains and railway platforms under the prying eyes of officials !

Palakkad: Palakkad Railway Division has given the green signal for wedding photo shoots in its properties, including railway stations, trains, and bogies, to those who wish to have a photo shoot. Palakkad Railway Division provides the opportunity for any shooting, including wedding – save the date.

Palakkad Railways Division confirmed that they have decided to go forward with a win-win situation for both the railways and those who decide to make videos with railways properties. Permission will be granted upon payment of fixed fees.

A fee of Rs 5,000 per day is fixed for all wedding photo shoots and other advertising related photo shoots. Also, Rs 2,500 will be charged for various academic purposes and Rs 3,500 for personal photo shoot. A fee of Rs. 1500 is decided for still photography, including trains.
Applicants for photo shoots should submit their applications to the Railway Divisional Manager seven days in advance.

Photo shoot would not be permit for the days planned for rolling stock and shunting. Also, shooting would not be permitted in areas such as workshops, coaching depots, coaching yards, and goods yards. Shooting on the roof of trains and footboard travel are also not permitted. All the safety measures and rules of the Indian Railways must be followed. The Railways also stated that there will be supervision by officials during the photo shoot.
