Trivandrum: In a welcome development for gold enthusiasts and investors, the price of the precious metal has experienced a substantial reduction, bringing much- needed relief to the market. The downward trend in gold prices reflects the international scale and had resulted in a decrease of Rs. 80 per sovereign, with one sovereign of gold now priced at Rs. 44,320.
The price of one gram of 22- carat gold has witnessed a decline of Rs.10, currently standing at Rs. 5,540. Similarly, the cost of one gram of 18- carat gold has also been reduced by Rs. 10 and now amounts to Rs. 4,590.
