The state’s rain warnings have been revised. Only five districts in North Kerala had received a rain warning given the forecast. But now, due to the forecast for heavy rain, an orange alert has been issued in the districts of Kannur and Kasaragod, per the latest warning from the central meteorological department.
There is a yellow alert in six districts. A yellow alert has been issued for the districts of Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad. Kasaragod and Kannur were on high alert the day before. North Kerala is anticipated to have rain for two more days. However, according to a warning from the Central Meteorological Department, rain will continue throughout the state for another 24 hours.
Even while there will likely be less rain than in previous days, there will still be heavy rain in certain isolated areas. In hilly areas that have experienced significant rainfall over the preceding few days, extreme caution should still be exercised. Coastal regions also require special attention. Fishing is still forbidden. An orange alert was not included in the notice that was issued this morning. There was only a yellow alert issued for five districts.
