Thiruvananthapuram: According to all India president of DYFI, AA Rahim, the introduction of the Uniform Civil Code is a deliberate attempt to sow division among the people of the country. He believes that the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code is part of a larger agenda to establish a Hindu Rashtra. In response to this, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) is planning to organize a nationwide protest against this law, he said.
“The DYFI has a history of actively opposing situations that have the potential to create divisions within the country. As an organization, the DYFI has been involved in numerous significant struggles and agitations, which serve as a testament to its commitment to preserving the unity of the nation. A closer examination of the DYFI’s history further highlights its dedication to this cause,” said AA Rahim.
The DYFI views the introduction of the Uniform Civil Code as an exceptional circumstance and has decided to launch a widespread campaign in response. The campaign will encompass participation from young individuals from diverse backgrounds. Rahim said that the DYFI believes, the primary responsibility of the central government should be to address the issues faced by the youth of the nation, rather than focusing on implementing the Uniform Civil Code.
DYFI has made the decision to launch a nationwide campaign, mobilizing youth from various regions. According to Rahim, the CPI(M) has been highly vocal on the matter of the Uniform Civil Code, and they swiftly took a historic stance when such an incident arose in the country. The Left Democratic Front, led by the CPI(M), stepped forward in response, which was well received by the DYFI. AA Rahim also commended the CPI(M) for its exemplary approach in addressing the issue.
