New Delhi: Chandrayaan-3, which made India the fourth country to land on moon after America, Russia and China, will be discussed in the Rajya Sabha today. Discussions will begin after the submission of the reports of the standing committee on labour, textiles and skill development, as well as the reports of the committee on public accounts. The Chandrayaan-3 mission is at the top of the agenda in the Rajya Sabha and also included in Rajya Sabha’s list of businesses.
With the success of Chandrayaan-3, India became the first country to land on the south pole of the moon. Chandrayaan’s victory raised India’s pride to the sky and was a topic of discussion all over the world. India has made a historic achievement by putting an end to the scientific world’s dismay over the Chandrayaan-2 failure four years ago.
Chandrayaan-3’s mission was to detect the presence of sulphur and other minor elements, record the relative temperature, and observe the movements around it. Currently, Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover are in ‘Sleep Mode’ and are expected to wake up on September 22.
