Chennai: Extending his support to the Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP, Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam on Thursday questioned the authority of the AIADMK to demand the transfer of the BJP state president.He also asked if Edappadi Palaniswamy would be ready to resign as AIADMK General Secretary if the BJP asked him. He was talking to news agency ANI in Chennai.
Panneerselvam further mentioned that he maintains continuous communication with the BJP leadership. With the upcoming possibility of the BJP returning to power for the third time at the national level, he indicated that he would express his opinion on the matter of alliance once the BJP announces its stance. OPS also emphasized his close relationship with the BJP central leadership.
Former Ministers Panruti S Ramachandran and R Vaithilingam also attended the meeting convened by Panneerselvam.
