Srinagar: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti emphasized that the Israel-Palestine conflict should not be perceived solely as a Muslim issue. She pointed out that many Christians and Jews reside in Palestine, highlighting that the problem between the two countries should not be seen as persecution against Muslims. In the current situation, the international community is urged to raise its voice and work towards resolving the conflict. Mehbooba Mufti also strongly condemned the attack on a hospital in Gaza, which resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 500 people.
Sharing a video report on Tuesday’s explosion at Al-Ahli hospital on X, Mehbooba urged the “powers that be” to not be “mute bystanders.”
Concurrently, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Hamas, which accused Israel of a rocket attack on a hospital in Gaza, is misguiding the public. The IDF asserted that a rocket launched by Hamas into Israel hit the Gaza hospital, and that Hamas is wrongfully attributing its own mistake to Israel. Meanwhile, the United States has issued a warning to American citizens, advising against travel to Lebanon due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah on the Lebanese border. The U.S. State Department’s advisory is based on the prevailing security situation.
