Private bus strike in Kerala on October 31

Thiruvananthapuram: A private bus strike is scheduled in the state of Kerala on October 31 as the private bus operators raise a series of demands. These demands include an increase in concession rates for students and the withdrawal of the government’s mandate to enforce seat belts on buses, among others. The bus owners’ association has also issued a warning, declaring their intention to initiate an indefinite strike commencing on November 21 unless the government accepts their demands.
