Thiruvananthapuram: The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Keltron, which is a part of Bharat’s Gaganyaan mission. Keltron played a pivotal role in this space mission by manufacturing 44 Avionics Interface Modules for the Gaganyaan mission’s test vehicle and crew escape system package. The Keltron Communication Complex, situated in Thiruvananthapuram Manvila, and the Keltron Equipment Complex in Karakulam are part of the Gaganyaan project.
Keltron’s achievement in becoming a part of the Gaganyaan mission is following ISRO’s quality control standards for assembly and fabrication. Keltron collaborates with other leading institutes such as ISRO’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), ISRO Inertial Systems Unit (IISU), and U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) in Bengaluru.
Keltron has previously made significant contributions to missions like Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya L-1. In the Chandrayaan-3 mission, Keltron produced 41 electronics packages. They manufactured 38 electronics packages for the Aditya L-1 mission.
