Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned Art Director Sabu Pravadas has passed away. He had been undergoing treatment following a road accident in Thiruvananthapuram on the 18th of this month. Sabu Pravadas was a distinguished figure in the world of cinema and had received the Kerala state award last year for the best film-related article. He was also the owner of the renowned Pravada Studio in Kacheripadi, Ernakulam.
Sabu Pravadas was deeply passionate about exploring new techniques in the field of art and sharing his knowledge with others. He was an early member of film organizations like MACTA and FEFKA, and he played a significant role as a designer in various film festivals of the Kerala State Film Academy, including the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
Throughout his illustrious career, Sabu Pravadas served as the art director for several notable films, including “Rajavinte Makan,” “Manu Uncle,” “Kattukuthira,” “Vazhiyorakkazhchakal,” “Pathram,” “Lelam,” “Run Baby Run,” “Amritham,” “Parvathi Parinayam,” “Ottayadipathakal,” and “First Bell.”
