Tel Aviv: It has been a month since the Israel-Hamas conflict began on October 7. Hamas terrorists initiated an attack, launching around 5,000 rockets at Israeli settlements and taking about 250 Israelis hostage, smuggling them into Gaza. This marked the largest terrorist attack by Hamas in a decade.
Efforts for peace have been made by the United States, Britain, and France, while Arab countries have called for a ceasefire. Israel’s condition for a ceasefire is the release of the hostages.
Initially, it was Hamas against Israel, but now several terrorist organizations, including Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Islamic Revolutionary Guards, and Houthi rebels, have joined forces with Hamas in attacks against Israel. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has noted similarities in Hamas’ attack methods to those of the Islamic State.
In response, Israel has destroyed numerous Hamas bases in Gaza, including observation posts and training camps. The IDF has also eliminated key terrorists involved in planning and executing the October 7th attack, including Wael Asefa, one of the commanders of the Central Camp Brigade, who was killed in an IDF operation on Sunday.
