Wayanad: The forest department in Wayanad is gearing up to take action against a group of youths who attempted to take a selfie by provoking wild elephants. The incident unfolded in the Wayanad Bathery-Pulpally fifth-mile section, where the youths risked their safety by dangerously attempting to capture pictures near a herd of wild elephants.
Video footage depicting tourists stopping their vehicles and approaching the elephants to take photos circulated on social media. The footage was recorded by another car’s passenger, who was behind the vehicle carrying the youths. The forest department has decided to take action in response to the video.
